Mynd Care Psychotherapies
Therapy Practice – ‘Together to unlock your healing and resilience’
Psychotherapy treatment in the UK
Psychotherapy encompasses many different modes of psychological interventions. This includes CBT, Counselling, Couple’s Therapy for Depression, EMDR, Dynamic Psychotherapy and many other approaches.
At our service, we provide great treatment for a range of mental health difficulties, including but not limited to PTSD, generalised anxiety disorder, OCD, specific phobias, social anxiety and depression.
At Mynd Care Psychotherapies, we have a range of staff, from a range of different backgrounds that provide all of these psychotherapeutic interventions along with many other approaches. In line with our values, we offer these with careful consideration of our client’s cultures/religious backgrounds, providing thorough assessment and treatment, recognising and removing obstacles to treatment and adhering to the evidence base to ensure all of our practice is legitimate.
Unfortunately in the UK, the national provision of such services comes with the disadvantage (in many cases) of long waiting lists. At Mynd Care Psychotherapies, there is a guarantee of NO waiting time. Once you are referred/refer yourself, we agree a fee for therapy based on our sliding scale policy (in that we take in to consideration everyone’s financial situation), provide a FREE initial triage with one of our therapists, and then agree to provision of psychotherapy and allocation to a suitable therapist.
We operate an open-door policy at Mynd Care Psychotherapies. Should there be any difficulties that you experience, please do not hesitate to reach out to us to discuss this. We aim to ensure that you have the very best experience in therapy and the best chance of progression away from the difficulties you entered with. All of our therapists are regularly supervised to ensure they provide the best service for you!
As well as covering the UK to provide the best psychotherapy treatment available, we are also working to provide support for clients from abroad. Keep an eye out and we will be looking to implement this in the coming months!

Our Services
Anxiety Treatment
Unfortunately anxiety disorders have a high prevalence in the UK. According to Champion Health, in any given week in England, 6 out of every 100 people will be diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. Mental Health UK states that at any one time, over 8 million people struggle with anxiety in the UK.
Depression Treatment
Depression in the UK unfortunately has a high prevalence. It is estimated that at any one time, 1 in 6 adults in the UK suffer with depression (Champion Health). Women are more likely to struggle with depression, although it certainly impacts men also. Unfortunately, depression is often paired with other disorders.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural therapy, or acronymised as CBT, is an effective, evidence-based treatment for people struggling with a range of difficulties. This includes anxiety disorders such as OCD, Social Phobia, Generalised Anxiety Disorder and Health Anxiety. It is also very effective in treating cases of depression.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR is an evidence based therapy which is used in the treatment of trauma/PTSD symptoms and a wide mental health difficulties in both children and adults. When we experience a distressing and traumatic events our thoughts, feelings and memories related to those events can get stuck. Therefore, we can find it difficult to move on from them. EMDR help our brain to effectively process those distressing memories. This reduces the negative impact of such memories on our functioning and enable us to reclaim our lives.
Counselling
Counselling is a form of therapy where which provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk to a trained therapist about any issues or difficulties you are experiencing. With the support from your therapist, you will be able to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and develop a better understanding of yourself and others. Counsellors don`t offer advise or express their own opinions but rather guide you to find your own solutions and ways of coping.
